Making the Most of Your Ski Holiday in Megeve

Ski Gear and Equipment Hire

If you've pre ordered your lift passes, they'll be ready for you in your accommodation along with a discount voucher to take across to the ski shop when you hire your gear. Then it's a quick hop up the cable car, where the snow awaits.

The Unthank Ski Club

This is a voluntary group that introduces similar standards of skiers to each other so that you can ski together and explore the mountain at your own pace. The Club is open and FREE to all provided you can ski a minimum of a blue piste. The Club will meet on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and will form fast, medium and relaxed ski groups. Ask one of the Stanford team for more details.

Holiday Insurance

If you haven't already, now is the time to ensure you have up to date cover for your trip to Megève. The likelihood of anything happening is rare but you must be covered just in case. We work with MPI Insurance Brokers who can be found here

Go pro with our GoPro

If you'd like a record of your time on the pistes, what better way than with a GoPro! These small, light and extremely hi-tec gadgets can capture incredible footage and stills. Naturally we have one that you can use, just ask a Stanford team member if it's available whilst you're in resort. Do remember to bring a memory stick or device for downloading with you, so you can transport your footage (and amazing memories) back to the UK.

For all of you smartphone users, Megève Tourism have created a free app that is packed full of useful information. Included you'll find weather forecasts and snow conditions, an interactive piste map, lift openings, webcams and much more. Simply search either the Apple store or Google Play, download for free and you're good to go! Don't forget to put our contact numbers in to your phones in case you need to call us at any point whilst away.
