Fabulous first day of skiing in Megeve - fresh powder!

The new chalet staff have made it out to Megeve and since Megeve have opened the lifts, we've given them the day off to enjoy the pistes.  What a way to start.  Clear skies, pistes in perfect condition and fluffy off-piste!  We couldn't get any of them to be brave enough to join us but we decided to ski Mouillettes down to Le Tour off-piste.  It was fabulous.  Lovely and fluffy and I even found snow flowers growing as it'd been so cold.

The staff who are beginners found their feet really well on the nursery slopes and before you know it they'll be on the reds!  Since then it's been snowing off and on and we have another 30cm or so at least on the top and 10cm or so in town so it's building a good base.  The lifts open fully next weekend and we still have a little bit of space for ski weekends or short ski breaks or weeks in Megeve over Christmas and New Year so do join us!
