Social Skiing & The Unthank Ski Club

Explore the mountains around Megève, discover the ski pistes and have a lot of fun!

Due to a court ruling in France, ski companies are not allowed to offer guided or accompanied skiing.  This is disappointing as we are aware that our guests value being shown around the mountains.  

To satisfy this, The Unthank Ski Club was formed.  This is a voluntary organisation that introduces similar standards of skiers to each other so that you can ski together and explore the mountain at your own pace.  The Club is open and FREE to all provided you can ski a minimum of a blue piste.  The Club will meet on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and will form fast, medium and relaxed ski groups.  You choose which one you would like to join.  We all meet back together for lunch so you can rejoin with friends and family who have chosen a different group.  The groups can be lead by any member of the Club (which could include Stanford staff skiing in their own free time) but will not be qualified professionals so you are responsible for your own skiing.   The club is free to join and you will need to enrol as a member and receive your membership card which can be done in resort.  We will meet members outside the bottom of the Telepherique lift by Henry Sports at 9:30am.
