Snow report for the Megeve region

Well, we finished this year's season with a fantastic couple of weeks. Lots of snow fell w/c 28 March and then w/c 4 April was bright and sunny. We're already getting booked up for next year, so don't delay in giving us a ring to arrange your 2011 skiing holiday! Did you know?

Skiing in Megeve is mostly on pasture, so just a few centimetres of snow are sufficient for good skiing, unlike in many high resorts where a metre of snow is needed to cover the rocks.

High resorts are often closed due to high winds and avalanche risk. Typically each year for about 15 days, half of Chamonix is skiing in Megeve because the lifts there are closed.
