Summer in the French Alps surrounded by mountains - what could be better?!

Lush, green valleys full of beautiful flowers, the pretty town’s chalets bedecked with overflowing flower boxes…and the towering white mass of Mont Blanc dominating the background.

Lots of things to do to make a real Summer activity holiday:

Find a whole new range of activities – visit the man-made beach and swim in the lake at Combloux or try the water slides in the town’s outdoor pool (or the indoor pool if the weather’s not great). Follow the paths and trails of the foothills and mountains or have a go on the Summer Luge (great for kids and adults alike) at Jaillet. If you fancy a day trip, have a scenic drive round to Chamonix, get the cable car up to the Aiguille du Midi and be amazed by the breathtaking views!

There’s also mountain biking, white water rafting, fishing, golfing, tennis, horse riding, hot air ballooning and you can even have a flight over Mont Blanc.

Where to stay during the Summer?

Look no further than our very own chalets Sylvana and Les Clochettes and our Hotel Rond Point.

Hotel Rond Point D'Arbois - a two star* standard hotel in the centre of town. It has 13 bedrooms and is open from 30 June to 15 September for bed & breakfast guests. Room rates (including breakfast) are 50Eu/night single and 70Eu/night double. *Note we no longer have an official 2* rating because we do not have a receptionist whose first language is French!. Les Clochettes - a luxury chalet with a spacious sitting/dining room and a large kitchen with dishwasher, fridge etc. It has five bedrooms in the main chalet, plus an additional bedroom in the basement – all with en-suite baths or showers. Click here for pictures of the chalet.

Les Clochettes Apartment - above Les Clochettes. It can be rented separately or combined with the main chalet. It has bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a large living room with a kitchenette and dining area and a bed settee, so it can sleep six.Click here for pictures of the apartment.

Chalet-hotel Sylvana is more basic, but great fun for a large chalet party. It has 15 bedrooms so you could sleep 30 +, but we would suggest a party size of about 20 in summer. The kitchen is a commercial kitchen Click here for pictures of the chalet.

The chalets are run on a self-catered basis in the summer , with only one group per week but the rates are very reasonable so there’s no need to fill all the rooms
